Manuscript Collection 37 contains the photograph album of Wilbur L. Floyd, Professor of Natural Science at the East Florida Seminary (Gainesville, Fla.), Professor of Botany, Biology, and Horticulture at the University of Florida, and Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture in the University of Florida. The photographs document the Gainesville and Alachua County area, the East Florida Seminary, the University of Florida, and the Floyd Family. Also pictured are places in the vicinity of Henderson and Lake Junaluska, North Carolina and in Horry County, South Carolina.

The original campus plans for the University of Florida at Gainesville were developed by the firm of Edwards & Walter. Wilbur L. Floyd was a Professor of Natural Science at the East Florida Seminary (Gainesville, Fla.), Professor of Botany, Biology, and Horticulture at the University of Florida, and Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture in the University of Florida.
